This class will use videos, pictures, lecture and discussion to learn about the history of the Tomb of the Unknown in Arlington National Cemetery and the remains of those buried there. This is an introductory class. The material for this in flex class form is 40 minutes. If they have a lot of thoughts and questions, the class could go longer than the 50 minutes scheduled for this class. This is a class about war, which means there will be discussion about death and destruction. I understand that these can be sensitive things to discuss. I present the information that I feel is appropriate for the students and am sure to discuss the emotions around these kinds of topics.
