ホイットニー先生と一緒に読書を始めましょう - 読書への自信をつけましょう!

This class is going to help your learner read and become more confident in their reading abilities. This class is for those who don’t know how to read or who need some extra guidance. 

We will begin each class with a welcome song and short introductions. This is a fun way to get to know each other!
(5 minutes)

Each week will be focused on a group of different word families. I will introduce this topic at this time and we will go over examples of where these would be used. This may involve reading a book, going through google slides that are shared from my screen or singing a song.
(10 minutes)

Students will have a chance to practice the topic at this time. I may send a worksheet a week before class that students will work on or they will practice writing or doing activities on a piece of paper. I may create an activity in Google Slides that I share from my screen that students will participate in. 
(10 minutes)

To wrap up this lesson each student will have a chance to review what we learned in class. I know your child will leave class feeling more confident in their reading. 

I love seeing children learn and grow in their reading abilities! Learners can join at any point in the semester or come and go as they’d like. The lessons don’t build on each other.
