In this one time class, students will be introduced to the names and values of coins such as pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and half dollars.  The teacher will introduce the names and values of the penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and half a dollar.  The students will practice identifying the name and value of the penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and half a dollar as well as practice identifying on their own.  Students should be familiar with coins and money.  Students who know what coins and money are could do well in this class.    Let's learn about coins and their values since coins are a part of everyday life.

Hello everyone!  Welcome to Outschool!  
My name is Ms. Julie and I'm excited to meet you!  I teach Reading, Math, Writing, ESL (English As a Second Language), and other subjects too.  I've been an educator and teaching for over 20 years in both brick-and-mortar and online.  When I'm not teaching, I can often be found tutoring online or in person.  My experience includes working with preschool to high school students with a lot of my experience with elementary and middle school age groups.  I have an elementary education K-6 grade license as well as a math 5-8 license and a K-12 ESL (English As a Second Language) License.  I have taught ESL (English as a Second Language) for many years also.  My masters in reading has been a great resource as well.
Every student can learn and I believe we all learn in different ways.  I love to have fun while learning!  When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time outside with my furry friend or time with family and friends.
