Students will be able to write all 46 hiragana, make simple sentences, ask questions, and name and describe objects and places in Japanese.

Practice makes perfect, so there will be homework after almost every single session. Each homework assignment should take 15-30 minutes.
   - For the first five weeks, homework will be to write each hiragana symbol covered in class a number of times. 
   - The next four sessions will be translation and grammar assignments. 
Homework will also include learning about twenty vocabulary words per week, and practicing the concepts learned in class. Thus, I expect students to spend AT LEAST an additional hour outside of class practicing Japanese.
