Lesson 1:
Week 1
 *What to look for when buying yarn 
*What a skein is
*How many yards for a project
*The different types of yarn
*Different sizes of hooks
*How to read a pattern

 *How to start crocheting:
*How to tie a slip knot and start a chain.
*Learning and Practicing -single crochet stitch -double crochet stitch -half double crochet stitch -triple crochet stitch
*Students will then learn how to start a square and turn their work.
*Show what they learned by making a single square with their favorite stitch.

Parental Guidance
Dangerous Supplies: students will be using small objects that may present a chocking hazard. Please supervise your children when using smaller objects like yarn needles and stitch markers.
