Before diving into this adventure, your child should complete my Coding Fun With a Botley Robot. Mission 1: Let’s get Moving to get familiar with how Botley the robot moves.
This flexible one-time class lets you schedule learning around your family's availability—no weekly commitments! Choose the classes that interest your child the most.
In this session, children will take charge of the story by telling me the code to program Botley, guiding the adventure with creativity and logic. Botley follows similar programming concepts as Beebot, a tool many schools use in Technology classes, making this a great way to reinforce STEM learning at home!
Materials & Setup:
• Print the attached PDFs so your child can draw the challenges they are not participating in.
• No accessory pack is required, but if using one, set up the tiles in a 2x3 grid before class.

By the end of the session, your child will be able to understand that an algorithm is a set of instructions, program a toy by inputting a sequence of commands/codes, and predict how different sequences lead to different outcomes.Other Details
