このクラスで学べること
Throughout this six-week course, learners will be instructed in a ballet routine. Adding new steps onto our dance each week, as well as giving each dancer a special part within the piece. This is a great opportunity for your dancer to start working on their ability to learn and understand choreography. Class Structure: The class will begin with a very quick stretch and warm-up, so please make sure your dancer warms up before class to prevent injuries. We will then have a short review of the parts of the dance that we have learned, and then begin to add to the dance. Each week, we will make sure that steps are being performed correctly, and that the dancer understands what they are doing. At the final class, I will send a performance flyer out. Dancers are encouraged to invite their friends and family to come to watch them perform the dance alongside their virtual classmates. This will be a special time for the dancer to show others what they have been working on, as well as getting the opportunity to perform in front of others. Performance for this section: The performance will occur on December 19th at 6:30 PM central time. All other rehearsals will be held on Saturdays from 4:20-4:50 PM central time.

Although it is not required for this class, as a matter of beginning the discipline of ballet, the following things are strongly encouraged:
Tights, Leotard, and Hair in a Bun.
However, the following are required,
Baller slippers, an open area with room for movement, preferably a 4x4 open space, a water bottle if needed, and hair pulled out of face for proper movement, and a ballet barre or chair back to use for technique training.
Proper stretching is important to prevent injuring the body. Please make sure your dancer stretched on their own before class begins, in order to prevent injury.
