チェスのプロになろう: 初心者向け入門 (5～10 歳)

This class is for young learners with little or no exposure to chess.  We'll start by teaching the foundational basics of the game, and then build upon that foundation to introduce key strategies for winning games.  Each week's lesson starts with about 30 minutes of explanation and discussion, followed by, for the remaining duration of each class, virtual chess games between the classmates, supervised by the instructor.

Week 2:  The Basics Continued: Piece Movement Review and Introduction to Check 
Week 3:  Special Move: Castling
Week 4:  Special Move: Pawn Promotion
Week 5:  Introduction to Checkmate: The Staircase Checkmate 
Week 6:  Something to Avoid:  Stalemate
Week 7:  En Passant Capturing
Week 8:  Conclusion:  Review, Chess Puzzles, and more
