This class will be an interactive exploration of beat. Learners will show the beat with body percussion and optional instruments. After introductions, learners will pat the beat with a simple rhyme, teaching that the beat is steady. Then a game of “Beat Freeze” where learners show the beat to different musical selections and freeze when the music stops. Next, we will identify the beat within our bodies - our heart beat.
