We will explore the beauty of watercolor while creating this colorful bear painting. Students will learn to blend colors and create movement with their brush strokes. Proper brush care will be discussed as well as how to create loose birch trees with them. We will discuss what colors to begin a watercolor with, and why complimentary colors are such an important part of a painting. We will have some basic colors to use and mixing our own colors will be encouraged. A little color theory is always thrown into the lesson. My teaching style is to give enough instruction to keep everyone on track while letting each person's individuality be expressed as well.

Supply List 8 inch by 10 inch watercolor paper,(regular printer paper will rip) bowl or water, paper towels, number 12 round brush that comes to a point, palette paper (or a watercolor tray or foam plate), Watercolor paint set. A set is easy to find a craft stores. We will use white, yellow, orange, alizarin crimson(red), purple, blue, green, burnt sienna, brown and black.
