This class is for complete beginners, those who have taken one or more of my other violin classes, or those who have already been working out of the book String Basics 1. Skills such as reading music, practice skills, how to use the bow, and how to place the fingers on the strings will be built up in an age-appropriate and manageable way at the students' pace. Learners will need their own violin in the correct size, pencil, rosin, shoulder rest, music stand, and String Basics Violin Book 1 (~$12) published by Kjos Music and available online from Amazon and other retailers.
