Students will be required to post videos and photos of their progress each week throughout the class. Feedback will be given in response to each video with what dancers will need to work on in order to improve their technique.

During this class we will explore Ballet and Tap Dance Techniques.  Ballet is a graceful and poised form of dance that is the foundation for all other dance techniques.  It is a formal dance that mixes technique, coordination and musicality.  Tap dance is a form of dance that creates various rhythms and shading of sounds by using the toe and heel tap of the shoe.  It is percussive allowing the dancer to create music

What’s included in this class:
•	Fun and engaging exercises that will wake up and stretch our bodies
•	Basic Ballet barre exercises that will be taught center floor 
•	Movements that will work on basic motor skills 
•	Various imaginative dance games through creative movement exercises  
•	Concepts of grace, coordination and musicality
•	Learning patterns for growing minds and engaging rhythm games
•	Tap technique will be taught through instructional music
•	Dancers will create percussion with their toe and heel taps
•	Various weekly coloring sheets

This self-paced schedule allows your child to learn at a time that works best for your schedule.   
Students will be required to post videos and photos of their progress throughout the class.

Your child will learn beginner ballet dance steps in a creative learning environment.  By week 3, they will also learn choreography to a short ballet dance which will teach them various patterns.  Dancing to music will also teach the student how to develop musicality.  And most of all, learn to have fun and enjoy movement!

Please make sure your child is in an area where they can move around freely. Also, having a water bottle nearby during class is encouraged. Students will want to be in comfortable clothes that they can easily move in and hair pulled back. By signing up for this class you should understand that when participating in any exercise or dance program, there is the possibility of physical injury. If you engage in these online dance classes, you agree that you do so at your own risk, are voluntarily participating in these activities, assume all risk of injury to yourself.

Hello!  I’m Miss Lauren and am a performer, educator, choreographer and former dance studio owner in Milton, VT.  

I am trained in various styles of dance including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Modern and Acrobatics and hold a Bachelors Degree in Dance.  I am also a professional for Dancing with the Stars Burlington and have graced the Flynn stage with my performance in 2019 and guest performance in 2022.  

I provide wholesome dance classes where movement and music selection is always age appropriate.  My main focus is to create a fun and energetic learning environment allowing kids to express themselves!  I have been instructing children of all ages for 18 years and have loved every minute of it!

When not dancing, I can be found spending time with my husband and two boys.  Dancing has always been my number one love and passion and is the fuel for my soul!  I can’t wait to see you in my class!  Now let’s get moving!  


Please note:  Transfer request can be accommodated if requested a least 24 hours before the section begins.  This allows time to fill the spot in class that your child was holding.  I also try to respond to messages within 48 hours.
