We will start by putting our aprons on and briefly introducing ourselves, finding out what the students already know about our beautiful British Isles. We will take a look at a map to locate the four countries that make up the UK. We will discuss England in particular; for example, naming and locating the capital city, looking at the Union Jack flag, and finding Devon and Cornwall, which are famous for their scones. We will make the dough for the scones, roll it out, and use a cutter...
Students will be able to make scones using a traditional British recipe. They will know the four regions of the British Isles, will recognise the Union Jack flag, and know a few facts about the UK in general and England in particular.
