*Class Overview*  
My name is Sage, and I have 6 years of experience tutoring students in math, covering topics from Algebra 1 to Multivariable Calculus. I graduated from Harvard College with a BA in Applied Mathematics and am passionate about helping students achieve their goals on the ASVAB. In my 1-on-1 tutoring sessions, I provide customized learning experiences tailored to each student’s unique strengths and areas for improvement. These sessions are highly flexible, allowing students to schedule them at their convenience, whether for regular weekly lessons or focused preparation as they approach their test date. This course covers the full range of math topics included in the ASVAB, with a focus on both understanding core concepts and solving ASVAB-style problems efficiently. Topics include:  
- **Arithmetic Reasoning (AR):**  
   - Solving real-world word problems involving ratios, percentages, averages, and proportions.  
   - Time, distance, and rate problems.  
   - Data interpretation using tables, graphs, and charts.  
- **Mathematics Knowledge (MK):**  
   - Algebra (equations, inequalities, simplifying expressions).  
   - Geometry (properties of angles, shapes, area, perimeter, and volume).  
   - Number theory (fractions, decimals, integers, and factors).  
   - Pre-Algebra (basic equations, exponents, roots, and order of operations).  

*Class Structure*  
These 1-on-1 tutoring sessions are fully customized to the student’s needs and progress. The general structure includes:  

- **Initial Assessment:** In the first session, we’ll identify the student’s strengths and areas for improvement to create a personalized learning plan.  
- **Focused Learning:** Each session targets specific topics or problem types where the student needs the most support. For example, if geometry is a challenge, sessions will focus on mastering shapes, angles, and area problems.  
- **Practice Problems:** A significant portion of each session is dedicated to solving ASVAB-style practice problems, ensuring students are familiar with the test format.  
- **Strategy Development:** In addition to math concepts, we’ll discuss test-taking strategies, such as eliminating wrong answers, managing time, and breaking down word problems for clarity.  
- **Homework (Optional):** Additional practice problems can be assigned between sessions to reinforce learning. These will be reviewed in subsequent sessions.
