This self-paced class includes 4 classes integrating American Sign Language with Christmas songs about Saint Nicholas "Santa". Learn ASL vocabulary as you learn about the history of Saint Nicholas. Sign songs such as "Saint Nicholas", "Jolly Ole' Saint Nicholas", and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer". Classes range from 7-22 minutes. Experience ASL through detailed explanations of hand signs and repetition. It is my joy to share ASL as a second language to help bridge the gap between hearing and Deaf communities. This class references Saint Nicholas of Myra whom the figure Santa Claus is based on. It discusses one legends of gift-giving and stockings. It discusses SinterKlaas from the Dutch tradition, his arrival, and the celebrations of Saint Nicholas Day and Christmas Eve. All information is done in American Sign Language, including the traditional Christmas songs about Saint Nicholas "Santa".

I have taught Little Signers ASL to preschool and elementary students over the past 10 years. I have a Masters in Education with a certification in K-6th, biology, and earth science. I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology with an Environmental Studies minor. I am a former public school teacher of 5 yrs and homeschool teacher of 10 yrs. I completed ASL I, II, III, & V in college and interpret for a Deaf family in church. I am also a 200 hr certified Yoga Teacher with additional certifications in Kids Yoga, Mommy Me Yoga, and Prenatal Yoga. In addition to teaching on Outschool, I teach a weekly live online Little Signers class.
