初心者向けアートクラス: 描いて、色を塗って、楽しんでください!

Each class, I will teach students how to draw one thing (for example, a penguin).  First, I will show the students what the finished work of art will look like.  Then we will begin drawing with a pencil.  I will model on my own paper how it should look, and I will describe what I'm doing as I instruct students how to create right lines and shapes.  I believe there are no mistakes in art, so everything a child creates is wonderful.  However, they can "fix" lines they don't like with an eraser.  When finished, we will trace our drawing with a black marker and color it in with colored markers, pencils, or crayons.

If time allows, we will have a "show and tell" time during which students can share their art with others in the class.  Students who take a longer time coloring their artwork may need to finish coloring outside of class time.
