Architecture Drawing Club - Explore the World's Landmarks! 🏰 Welcome to the 'Architecture Drawing Club,' a perfect class for learners with a passion for sketching buildings, bridges, and landscapes! Join our weekly class where we sketch famous landmarks from around the globe. All you need is a pencil, ruler, and a sheet of paper! Please note that while this class is an enrichment club, it is also an intensive drawing class with teacher-led instruction and continuous guidance throughout each lesson. The class moves at a fast pace. What to Expect: ✏️ Guided Drawing: Led by step-by-step instructions, learners will focus on lines, shapes, and surrounding details, occasionally incorporating vanishing points for added depth. This is a 40 minute teacher-led narrated drawing. 🌐 Global Perspective: A new landmark every week! Learners explore many different architectural styles. I usually choose places that are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Landmarks may be repeated at some point, but the perspective and approach will always be unique. 📈 Paced Learning: The class moves at a quick pace, providing minimal downtime between steps. Beginners are welcome, but note that the pace ensures active engagement throughout the entire 40-minute class. 🖥️ Interactive Feedback: Learners provide a thumbs up (or down) 2-3 times during the lesson, helping to indicate that they are on track or if they need additional help. 🏛️ Architectural Insights: Beyond drawing techniques, we will discuss interesting facts and the architectural style of each landmark. 🔸 Class Size: Limited to 6 learners. 🔸 Age Recommendation: Ideal for learners 11 years and older due to the class's quick pace. Age exceptions considered based on the learner's ability level. If your learner is under the age of 11 years old, please send me a message, I want to ensure that this class would be a good fit. 📹 Camera Policy: While camera-on is preferred, this class is camera-off friendly. Learners must check in with their camera on at the beginning of each class before turning off their camera. I will open the classroom one minute before the class start time to allow learners to check in. ⏰ Punctuality Matters: The class starts promptly, and being on time is important. I try very hard not to interrupt the flow of the class due to a learner arriving late. Latecomers or absent students may watch the playback recording to catch up of the parts of the drawing they missed. 🚀 Pausing a learner's subscription does not save their spot in the class. As I maintain a class size limit of 6, I cannot hold spots or guarantee when one will become available again. All class enrollments are on a first come, first serve basis. Thank you for your understanding. Ready to draw the world's wonders? Join us for an artistic adventure!🌟 Weekly focus: Week of April 27th- May 3rd: Lotus Temple Week of May 4th-10th: Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, UAE Week of May 11th-17th: Independence Hall Week of May 18th-24th: Harlech Castle, Wales Week of May 25th-31st: The Citadel of Qaitbay, Egypt Week of June 1st-7th: Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany Week of June 8th-14th: Mont-Saint-Michel, France Week of June 15th-21st: Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Japan Week of June 22nd-28th: POSSIBLE SUMMER BREAK Week of June 29th-July 5th: Red Fort Complex, India Week of July 6th-12th: Ruins of Kilwa Kisiwani and Songo Mnara, Tanzania Week of July 13th-19th: Castel del Monte, Italy Week of July 20th-26th: Palace of Versailles, France Week of July 27th-August 2nd: Medici Villas and Gardens, Italy Week of August 3rd-9th: Roskilde Cathedral, Denmark Week of August 10th-16th: Student Choice Week of August 17th-23rd: Bryggen, Norway Week of August 24th-30th: The Kremlin and Red Square, Russia Week of August-September 6th: Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, China Week of September 7th-13th: El Castillo, Mexico Week of September 14th-20th: Sleeping Beauty's Castle, Disneyland, CA Week of September 21st-27th: Alhambra, Spain Week of September 28th-October 4th: Lotus Temple (viewpoint #2) Week of October 5th-11th-Golden Gate Bridge Week of October 12th-18th: Nanjing Eye Bridge Week of October 19th-25th: Konark Sun Temple, India (to be continued...) ***TOTAL LIST OF LANDMARKS*** Leaning Tower of Pisa * Sydney Opera House Golden Gate Bridge Lotus Temple Pantheon Chrysler Building Space Needle Great Wall Pyramids of Giza Forbidden City Eiffel Tower Hagia Sophia Chichen Itza Pont du Gard Bridge Sagrada Familia The Magic Kingdom Musee du Louvre (focus: Glass Pyramid) Tower Bridge of London Burj Khalifa Taj Mahal Rialto Bridge Arc De Triomphe Shirakawa-go (World Heritage Site) Japan Capitol Building The Statue of Liberty Petra, Jordan Empire State Building Bridge of Sighs Gardens by the Bay Temple of Athena Guitar Hotel Hoover Dam The White House Shah Mosque Brooklyn Bridge Heydar Aliyev Centre St. Basils Cathedral Santa Maria delle Carceri Dome of the Rock Yokohama Bay Bridge Taos Pueblo, New Mexico Tempietto San Pietro, Rome Siose Pol Bridge The Golden Pavilion, Japan Summer Palace, Beijing Washington Monument Asproni village Pigeon Point Lighthouse The Alamo Imperial Citadel of Thang Long Tokyo Skytree The Lingering Garden Carisbrooke Castle Galata Tower, Istanbul Brasilia Cathedral * Brandenberg Gate, Germany Hallgrimskirkja, Iceland Leaning Tower of Pisa, Bells Santa María de la Oliva, Spain Jantar Mantar, India Moon Bridge, Taiwan The Rotunda, University of Virginia Itsukushima Shrine, Miyajima Jaguar Temple, Mayan-Tikal site The Great Stupa, India Rila Monastery, Bulgaria Stonehenge 9/11 Memorial Old Town of Regensburg, Stadtamhof, Germany Sydney Opera House (viewpoint 2) Ft. Ms. Ella brings enthusiasm and creativity to every lesson at Creative Cat Art Studio. She’s currently finishing her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on art, psychology, and education at Coastal Carolina University and will graduate in just two short months! Ella earned her Associate in Arts degree from Horry-Georgetown Technical College in 2022. She has worked extensively with children, serving as both a YMCA summer camp site director and art instructor. Ella is also a practicing artist with a passion for acrylics, watercolor, collage, digital art, and mixed media projects.
We’re a mother-daughter team dedicated to creating engaging lessons that spark imagination. The creativity and talent our students show always amaze us — and we can’t wait to see your child’s creativity shine!☀️
🐾 About the Studio Cats:
Our classes wouldn’t be the same without our furry “assistants!” Biscuit, Ms. Amy’s curious and mischievous studio cat, loves to rearrange art supplies and occasionally makes a surprise appearance during lessons. Jake, Ms. Ella’s playful cat, often tries to join the fun and “help” with art projects. You never know when one of them might pop in to add a little extra creativity to class!😺
