AP コンピュータサイエンス A 試験 - 練習セッション

Format:

We will pick new questions each week to practice together.
Some weeks will focus on multiple choice questions and other weeks we will focus on free response questions. 

What to expect:

Learners will be given specific questions to solve at the beginning of the class. 
After some time, the correct answers will be shared. 
For multiple choice questions we will aim to do around 10-20 questions in each session.
For free response questions, depending on the complexity of the problems we will try to solve 2 to 4 problems together.

- Abstract Classes and Interfaces
- The Object Class
- The Math Class and Random Numbers
- Program Design and Analysis
- Software Development
- Program Specification, Design and Implementation

- Object-Oriented Program Design
- Determining Relationships Between Classes
- UML Diagrams
- Implementing Classes and Methods
- Array Lists
- One-Dimensional Arrays and Two-Dimensional Arrays
- Recursion
- Analysis of Recursive Methods
- Sorting and Searching




Solutions discussion:

When we are sharing the answers we will discuss the answers if learners do not understand the solution. Tips and tricks will also be shared. We will also discuss quick ways to eliminate incorrect choices in multiple choice questions to help learners attack similar problems more efficiently in future.

Expectation from the learner:
Learners are expected to come ready to tackle the problems and be willing to participate even if they have the wrong answer. The more problems we do, the better they will get. If they refuse to participate, it makes it difficult for me to address their doubts and questions.


Additional help during the week:

Students can also practice additional problems and send them to me for review during the week. Ideally, students should be spending between 4-6 hours each week to work on their exam.
 
What this class is not about:
This class does not aim to teach Java basics to learners who are absolutely new to Java. If you would like to learn Java from the basics, I have a different class for that. This class is focussed on solving real problems from AP CS A exam.
