Beginner レベル向け
In this lesson, we will work on a project step by step together from beginning to end. We will use Scratch, a coding language with a simple visual interface. First I'll show the completed work to the class, then we will start working on their own project from the beginning. Students will learn how to: - Create a project in Scratch - Use sprites or characters - Use Code and Costumes - Make the character move when it is clicked Extra: If the learner completes the animation, I will teach them how to use a background or how to find a sound. Experience: Everyone is welcome! No prior Scratch coding experience required. Knowing some coding wouldn't hurt. Must know: Kids need to be able to use a computer. Knowing how to click and drag and drop is required. Recommended: Being able to go back and forth between Zoom and Scratch website or having someone to help in the beginning of class would be needed if you are using only one device. Having a mouse is helpful but not required only if the learner knows how to drag and drop without a mouse.
学習到達目標
Our main goal in this one-time lesson would be to use code to animate our Dino, and if we get enough time depending on the learner's speed of working, we will add some extra things like music, background, and text.

Hello there!
I'm Teni Haroutunians, and I teach animation, coding, art, and languages on the Outschool website. I hold a BA in Art with a concentration in animation. I work as both a freelance artist and an educator. I have experience in teaching in person computer lessons to K-6th grade students in CA. These lessons cover a range of topics, including coding, digital citizenship (responsible and safe technology use), Google Suite, Thinkercad, 3D Paint, 3D Viewer, and more.
I'm genuinely passionate about helping kids nurture their creativity. The courses I design are not just easy to follow, but they're also a lot of fun. In each class, we kick off by exploring a project example. From there, we build it together from scratch. I teach students the techniques, provide the tools, and encourage them to infuse their unique ideas, making each project their own.
If you're curious to learn more about me, here's a tidbit: I'm a language enthusiast. I find joy in both teaching and learning languages. And my favorite animal? That would be a green owl named Duo!
I'm excited about the opportunity to teach your learner! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. Looking forward to having them in my class!
