In this 7 week multi-day class, we will be exploring the animals of the 7 continents. Each week, students will explore 6-8 animals from a different continent. Each animal will be presented along with a vibrant picture, as well as information about its physical characteristics, diet, and habitat. Students will be encouraged to participate in discussions and ask/answer questions throughout the class. Here is what you will need for each week. If you are missing anything, please let me know. I am always able to come up with alternatives. Week 1 Wolf Craft: White paper A pencil Glue Buttons, gems, pompoms, felt, or glitter Week 2 Elephant Craft: Paper plate or white paper Scissors Pencil Paint/markers/crayons/colored pencils Tape Week 3 Kangaroo Craft: Brown paper Pencil Scissors Glue Markers/crayons/colored pencils Optional: googly eyes Week 4 Penguin Craft: Black paper Orange paper Cotton balls or toilet paper Pencil Scissors Glue Optional: googly eyes Week 5 Savannah Scene Craft: White paper Pencil and eraser Markers/crayons/colored pencils Week 6 Toucan Craft: Paper plate or white paper Scissors Paint Glue Optional: googly eye Week 7 Beaver Craft: A brown paper bag or brown paper can be used Brown paper White paper Scissors Glue Markers/crayons/colored pencils Optional: googly eyes
Some of the crafts require scissors, so an adult may need to supervise off camera.
