In this course we will be exploring butterflies. We will discuss different types of butterflies, their lifecycle, and what they eat. The class will be structured with interactive activities with students sharing about what they love about butterflies and their favorite type. (Their favorite type could be a color or a common or scientific name.) After we explore their favorite types of butterflies we will explore what butterflies eat. This will lead into a butterflies life cycle. My teaching style is student lead discussion including interactive activities with their peers.

Students will gain a greater understanding of butterflies. By the end of this course students will know several types of butterflies, what butterflies eat, and a butterflies lifecycle.

Hello! I have 21 years of teaching experience. I have had the pleasure of teaching preschool, elementary, high school, and at the college level. I believe that learning is fun! I have a 45 hour certificate in early childhood education, a Bachelor's in biology and sociology, a M.A. in sociology, and a Ph.D. in sociology.
