Welcome all Animal Crossing fans!! Want to play with others that love Animal Crossing as much as you do?! Come join us in this fun class where we can socialize, play together, go to each other islands, and game with others who love Animal Crossing. We will: *Join each other in the game by visiting each other’s islands *Talk about our favorite villagers, or no so favorites *Share building advice *How to make money *Show off our island’s design *Host house tours *Make friends and play games on each other’s islands *And so much more! Please note, this is not an instructional class, but one where we will explore, play, socialize, and participate in ongoing things happening on our islands. The teacher is happy to help newbies to the game! This is a social club that will have learner led discussions each week. This class is learner directed and therefor each week is a chance for new things! Students need a Nintendo Online Membership to play together and visit other’s islands. If the student is without this membership, they are welcome into class and can contribute without the island to island travel. **Please note, because this is a social class, children are not muted and are encouraged to talk, make friends, play games within the game. This means that the class could be lively and be loud. I encourage the students to wear headphones if this would disturb others in the house. If I need to mute, I will, to answer questions, help a student, or manage the class. But this is a social and fun class! Now, let's have fun!!!** Students are welcome to attend more than one session a week, if they want, because each class will be different students and new things to do and play! If you have any questions, feel free to message me!! Photo Credit: Rebeka B

I believe in igniting the fire for the love of learning and meeting children where they are at. I also believe the best way to learn is through play, hands on experiments, and having fun. My favorite things to teach are STEM, Math, facilitating safe gaming classes, and reading classes.
I attended University of Houston at Clear Lake and received my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education- Young Children with Disabilities and my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education- Children with Disabilities. I was the owner and founder of The Mind Body Lab, where I taught STEM, Art, and Yoga classes. I am also a private tutor.
I was the Assistant Director of Early Childhood camps for University of Houston at Clear Lake, and for 6 years I designed, developed, and implemented inclusive camps for young children. I have also taught a homeschool science classes at a local nature center, where I prepared lesson plans, wrote lessons that included STEM, and instructed an inclusive class.
I believe every child learns in a different way and the way I teach will reflect that. I plan my classes in a way where all learners needs are met, we do not all learn the same so I offer multiple ways to understand the subject.
I have homeschooled my children for the last 12 years. I am a first degree black belt and love everything martial arts!
My goal is to educate, include, enlighten, ignite, and help children explore this world.
