このクラスで学べること
This ongoing elementary art class gives students the opportunity to explore art making techniques while learning about animals habitats and habits. In addition, we will often look at examples of how artists have portrayed these animals in artworks throughout art history. Each week we will focus our art on a new animal and medium or technique that is often inspired by an artwork, artist or photograph that includes our animal of the week. Techniques and media covered in this class will include watercolor, collage, mixed media engagements, printmaking, sculpture and modeling clay and more. Students will learn about animals through a diverse array of art and artists from around the world. Each class will start with a welcome, introductions and brief overview of 2 class rules, then will continue with introduction to our inspiration animal, art/artists and the art making technique we'll be using that day. Students will be guided through creating a piece of art during the live class, however each students work will remain uniquely individual because Ms. Stephanie encourages students to use their artistic freedom and creativity to build self confidence, bravery and resilience by adding our own creative touches to the artwork. Ms. Stephanie uses are variety materials to keep class kids interested and challenged with techniques that can be made more or less challenging based on individual learners ages and current ability levels. Each week needed art supplies will be uploaded into the classroom, however a general list is provided here for your convenience as you plan and prepare. Students should always feel free to use the supplies they have if recommended supplies are not available. Stephanie is a seasoned veteran art educator and virtual teacher who welcomes diversity in her classrooms and in the materials students choose to use. While creativity is highly valued and praised, students who feel more comfortable following along are welcome and encouraged to do so. #creative January: Addax Pangolin Elephant Shrew February Tiliger Amur Leopard Philippine Eagle Largetooth Sawfish Gobi Bear March Narwhal Kiwi Bird Koala April May June July August September October November December
