Are you ready to exercise your brain? In this fun, challenging club, we will look at 2-3 puzzles, riddles, and challenges, to see if we can solve them together. Each puzzle will vary in challenge level, starting each session with a simple puzzle. We will then build up the challenge and see if we can conquer hard puzzles! There are so many different challenges, including: Visual puzzles Number puzzles Word-based puzzles Logic-challenging puzzles ...and many more! If we don't manage to solve a puzzle, it will be available on the classroom to see if you can solve in time for the next week. If you want to see how brainy your brain brains, then this is the club for you! There is no set schedule of challenges we will complete since there are no defined topics in this subject. Here is a brief overview of what to expect each week: - we start with a simple puzzle, which should take us 5-10 minutes to solve. - we will up the challenge level, working on a more difficult puzzle or challenge to solve. - if we solve the second puzzle, then we will move on to a third, high-challenge puzzle, which learners can take away to solve if we do not solve it together in class. Here is an example of a puzzle we might try to solve together: 10 snooker balls are in a snooker triangle. If you stacked balls onto the 10 balls, and created a pyramid, how many balls would you need in total?

I'm a qualified teacher, experienced in teaching English, History, Music, and Art. I home educated my two children, who are now at university, and I have taught in mainstream schools, and in Special-Ed schools.
I have also taught piano, guitar, singing, and music theory, taking students through grade examinations.
I am experienced in teaching the British GCSEs, and through home-schooling, I taught my own children using American curriculum. I teach Language Arts, English Literature and Language, Creative Writing, Poetry - both writing, and reading, and many other fantastic and interesting topics.
I teach writing skills using the Writing Revolution techniques, and have seen students improve their writing skills rapidly using some of the techniques applied.
In addition, I worked as a graphic designer for 10 years, working from home, and offer graphic design and video editing classes, using Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, and soon, Affinity creative suite.
Growth Mindset is very important in my classes, and I encourage it in all learners - Growth Mindset is the belief that even if you can't do something or don't understand something, then you CAN learn how to do it or understand it. Growth Mindset says "I can't do it YET, but I can learn." Learning happens through making mistakes, and then modifying your approach, changing what you do, to improve. I encourage all learners to try, and to feel comfortable making mistakes, because that's how we all learn.レビュー
