Happy Holidays! There are no "naughty kids" in this class! Here, students will get to share all of the wonderful things about themselves that make them so special! We'll jump right into the holiday cheer by playing a fun game of this or that. Once we're all laughing and comfortable, I'll ask the students what they think it means to be kind. From this conversation, I will create a word wall for them to use to create a list of what makes them kind. 24 hours before the start of class I will email you a worksheet to print so their lists can be written on "Official Paper from the North Pole". If time allows, students will also have the opportunity to share their favorite holiday themed item! *I will provide a coloring sheet for learners who work best with busy hands!

Hello families! I’m Amanda and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach your learner! I love everything about education and feel consider being a teacher as part of who I am. It is my passion!
I have a bachelor's degree in elementary and special education, two active teaching licenses in Arizona and reading and ESL endorsements. I've been teaching since 2017 and I'm working towards a master's in child and adolescent development.
My goal as your learner’s teacher is to inspire them to be lifelong learners. Learning is scary and requires a lot of vulnerability to take chances knowing you could make a mistake. I pride myself on helping students feel safe, confident, and secure in themselves. I’ve always seen tremendous growth in students when they are in an environment that allows for them to safely make mistakes and learn from them.
