What is All About Spelling?
All About Spelling is a multi-sensory, hands-on approach to mastering spelling. It is a building block program, meaning that each new lesson builds on the last. It also includes a built-in review during each lesson. All About Spelling uses the Orton-Gillingham approach, which simplifies the English language by focusing on why words are spelled the way they are.

My Experience and Why *I* Use All About Spelling
I am certified teacher. I also used All About Spelling to teach my own children. They were successful because it was multi-sensory, engaging, and made sense to them. 

Our Class
This class is for all spelling levels! 
Each class will be planned to meet the needs of the individual learner. Your learner will set the pace for the class and I will meet them where they are, no matter the level. If you are just beginning, All About Spelling recommends beginning with level 1. This will give your learner a strong foundation of  ALL of the letter sounds.
After class, I will provide a summary of what we learned and what the student can practice before our next lesson. Each lesson provides a built-in review, so we will continue to build on previous lessons. I will also provide additional teacher created activities in areas that need extra support. I want them to succeed!

What You Will Need
Each student will need a student pack and set of letters, if you do not already have them. These can be purchased through All About Spelling or one of their suppliers. A dry erase board and marker is also very helpful. (Paper and pencil also works just fine.) Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Permission
I have been given permission by All About Spelling to offer these tutoring sessions. All About Spelling requires that students  have their own Student Packet and a set of Letter Tiles or the Letter Tiles App. Teachers / tutors are also not able to upload the materials to any online platform or convert any material to digital formats (PDFs, video, photos, etc.).

**Policy**
Per Outschool policy, if a student is more than 10 minutes late, it will be considered a missed class and not eligible for a refund. If a students needs to cancel class, I will offer a reschedule when possible or issue a refund, as long as I am notified more than 24 hours in advance. In the case of a teacher scheduling conflict, I will offer to reschedule the class or issue a refund for the missed class.
