Does your learner like to learn about Firefighters, Police Officers, or maybe the Postal Worker? If so, then this is the perfect class. In this ongoing class we will learn about a different community helper each week. Each week during class, learners will have an opportunity to share what they know about that week's community helper. A handout will be provided each week and completed in class. Learners will also have an opportunity to learn songs and read books about that week's community helper. This is a great class for learners of all abilities and is an ongoing class that learners may come and go from as it fits best for them. Week of 4/22 - Firefighter Week of 4/29 - Police Officers Week of 5/6 - Chef Week of 5/13 - Postal Worker Week of 5/20 - Doctor Week of 5/27 - Teacher Week of 6/3 - Veterinarian Week of 6/10 - Electrician

My name is Julianna, and I am a homeschool mom to three wonderful children. A little bit about me is that I am a volunteer member of the Civil Air Patrol (Auxiliary of the Air Force) working directly with youth to strengthen their leadership, aviation and aerospace skills. I am a leader of a local homeschool co-op and ran a successful daycare / preschool pre-covid. My interests are aviation, camping, and American history.

This quote to me means that all we can do is be the very best we can be. In my classes I encourage all learners to try their very best and to always support one another. Positivity is very important when it comes to a healthy learning environment.
