This class is intended for Students:
- Struggling with Middle School Math Calculations using Positive and Negative Numbers
- Beginning Middle School or Pre-Algebra classes and want help with Adding and Subtracting Using both Positive and Negative Numbers
How is the class Structured:
This is a Self Paced, Single Lesson, 1 Time Class. The lesson will be approximately 35 - 45 minutes. This Lesson covers the Rules of Calculations for Adding and Subtracting using both positive and negative numbers.
This lesson has a lecture type teaching video with demonstration slides and examples, Students will also have the opportunity to work examples presented on the slides. Notes pages with fill in the blank information will be provided for each lesson. Students can then keep and use these notes for their future regular math classes.
Additional Practice Problems (and worked answer keys) will also be available for practice outside of the class presentation time.
This basic knowledge and working understanding of Adding and Subtracting with both positive and negative numbers will be helpful for upcoming Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra or Beginning Algebra classes that students may be taking in their own future math classes.
I will have office hours, so if the student has any questions or needs additional help, they can send me a message and I will respond. Also, any practice problems or work that the student submits for review - will be reviewed and feedback will be given. Please allow at least 24-48 hours for a response as I am not always at my desk, and different time zones may play a part in the timing of messages sent and received.
Prior Knowledge:
