宿題:
週あたり 4+ 時間. This is highly dependent on student ability level and the subject area, but generally there will be 1-2 hours of assigned work at the end of the session. If you'd prefer that I don't assign homework I'm happy to not do that, although I don't recommend that for best learning practices, particularly in skill-based areas like mathematics.この文章は自動翻訳されています

This is a one-hour open ended tutoring session in any area of high school math, including standard, honors, AP, and IB level courses. Students can request specific help with a particular topic, preparing for an upcoming test or quiz, reviewing older material, or even getting ahead on what's coming up next in their course. Although I'm happy to cover new topics from scratch, students are encouraged to be prepared with specific topics that they would like to work on so we can make the best use of our time. Though I'll cater our discussions toward whatever you'd like to discuss, common areas of discussion include the following: Algebra I: Arithmetic and order of operations, functions, solving linear equations and inequalities, graphing equation of lines, systems of equations, exponents, factoring, parabolas, and radicals. Geometry: Coordinate geometry, proofs and logic, triangle relationships, quadrilateral relationships, trigonometry, similarity, transformations, points of concurrency, area and perimeter formulas, and 3-D shape calculations Algebra II: Revisiting many topics in Algebra I, including linear equations, systems, factoring, and radicals, but also covering rational equations and expressions, sequences and series, polynomial division, imaginary numbers, logarithms and exponentials, and some trigonometry Precalculus: Again revisiting many topics in Algebra I and 2, but also covering the unit circle, trig identities, vectors, polar and parametric equations, and limits. Calculus 1: Revisiting limits, then derivatives, derivative applications, integrals, integral applications, differential equations, and calculating volumes Calculus 2: more integration techniques, trig substitutions, additional methods for differential equations, polar and parametric calculus, sequences and series, and Maclauren/Taylor polynomial expansions I emphasize frequent examples and regular feedback during my sessions - I firmly believe that an hour of lecture is not a good way to maximize learning. I'll generally try to answer any questions my students have coming in, teach any new topics that may be requested, and then focus on providing and guiding students through as many examples as needed while emphasizing good note taking strategies and offering feedback. Students should come prepared with a way to take notes (paper and pencil is preferred) as well as any quizzes, tests, homework sets, or study guides that they may want to work through. They should also bring an appropriate calculator, if relevant. Students are also encouraged to independently review and study their materials before we meet; we can make a lot more progress if they have already narrowed down some specific questions or topics that they would like to discuss. At the conclusion of the session I will typically recommend and assign extra practice to supplement our discussion which should be completed before our next meeting. Answer keys for individual review will usually be provided, as I believe immediate feedback is essential.

Here are the outside resources that may be referenced during our session:
Desmos - this is an online graphing calculator, which is often useful for demonstrating concepts. No account is required.
Paul's Online Math Notes - a great online resource primarily for short calculus lessons and a big repository of practice problems and examples, no account required.
KutaSoftware - a large selection of worksheets with answers provided, for all areas of mathematics from pre-algebra through calculus. You can make an account but it's not necessary to download the worksheets.
受講に必要なもの
Scientific or graphing calculator (will depend on the course) I recommend the Casio fx-115ES Plus (~$20) for a scientific calculator and the TI-84 Plus CE (~$120) for a graphing calculator. Worksheets and homework will be provided - no additional books are necessary. A dedicated notebook for our sessions is recommended
