週1時間. All assignments are optional but are advised if the student wasn't able to answer each question 100% during the lesson. After each lesson I will give students 10 questions to work on before they begin the next lesson. At the start of the next lesson I will first give the asnwers to the ten questions. If the student has gotten those questions correct they can skip to the start of the new topic. If they got any incorrect they can go through my step by step explanation of how to work the question.評価

This class is focused on teaching factoring. We will go over how to find all factors of integers. How to find the greatest common (GCF) factor of two or more integers. We will look at how to find the factors of monomials. How to find the GCF of two or more monomials. How to find the GCF of a polynomial. How to factor a polynomial weather it is a difference of squares, a perfect trinomial square, a quadradic that follows the x^2+bx+c pattern or ax^2+bx+c pattern. Then we will look at solving equations by factoring. Lastly we will look at solving word problems by factoring.

受講の前提条件
Students should be either enrolled in Algebra 1, Algebra 2, College Algebra or an Equivalent Course. You should know the terms Integer, Monomial, Polynomial, and Quadradic. Students should know how to add, subtract, multiply polynomials.

Paper, pen/pencil, a basic calculator. I will supply all additional material that students will need.

I graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics and Mathematics Secondary Education in 2002. I have been a Professional Math Tutor since 2002. I have worked at the technical college level teaching Mathematics. I went to graduate school and studied Mathematical Theory and Scientific Computing, I completed all my course work but unfortunately wasn't able to complete my Thesis before moving states. I have worked with many tutoring agencies over the years and have seen the areas where students struggle the most. I'm starting with factoring because this is the biggest hurdle for most students in Algebra. I am planning on branching out into other areas of Algebra and other math topics.
