Welcome to Virtual Performing Arts Academy. We are a friendly performing arts studio that helps your child achieve their goals in the performing arts. This class is a small sized class to better allow for personalization of specific skills. In this ongoing class, students will learn the healthy fundamentals of stretching and strengthening to prevent injury. Conditioning the body and injury prevention work is essential to every dancer and gymnast’s training. Stretch and strength class will help students increase their endurance, strength, and flexibility. Students will learn great exercises that they can do at home to help achieve their flexibility goals. The class will begin with a quick 5-minute cardio warm-up, then into 10 minutes of conditioning to build muscle to protect from common injuries. The class will then finish with varying stretches. September: Progressions Calves, Achilles, Hamstrings Hips & Turnout Safe Back Stretches Feel free to also request things you are working on by emailing the instructor prior to class! Class is hands-on. Please be sure to have enough room to move. Wear proper closed-toed shoes, dance shoes, or barefoot. Students do not need any prior experience and class will be modified for the student's level.
