This one-on-one private tutoring course is for students interested in learning the skills assessed on the AP Lang exam, including synthesis, rhetorical analysis, and argument essays. Students will learn how to craft effective rhetorical analysis, synthesis, and argument essays.
I've taught high school English, including AP Lang, honors, and concurrent credit classes for nearly 10 years. I've also served as an AP reader and have led AP Lang-related workshops for teachers and students.

Students will receive feedback from the teacher throughout the session. This will include verbal feedback during discussion as well as written and/or verbal feedback about the student's writing.成績が提供されます
During the rhetorical analysis unit, we will look at speeches from George Bush (9/11) and Ronald Reagan (Challenger Explosion) as these are speeches that have a clear rhetorical situation and clear rhetorical choices. These speeches are in the public domain and acknowledge the tragedy of these events. During these lessons, we will focus on the content of the speech. At the parent or learner's request, an alternative text can be provided.
The content for this course will be created by the teacher or will be accessible in the public domain.
