このクラスで学べること

In this 3 day camp, Adopt Me fans can connect and chat with other like minded individuals. I will lead a discussion about Adopt Me to help guide the students into a group chat. My goal is that they can chat with each other, learn to be good online digital citizens, have fun, and may learn something new! 

Meeting  1:
-Students will share what they love about Adopt Me
-Students will share their Roblox usernames to get connected with other camp attendees 
-Students will participate in game play together, and have a chance to trade pets, vehicles, pet wear, etc. 
-Dress up challenge 
-Raffle for a ride potion

Meeting 2:
-Students can share an awesome Adopt Me story
-Students will have a chance to trade
-Students can screen share, or instruct,  to teach camp members glitches with in the game
-Hide and go seek 
-Raffle for a fly potion

Meeting 3
-Students can share their Dream Pet in Adopt Me
-Students will have a chance to trade
-Camp members can teleport to each others house to do Adopt Me house tours
-Build Challenge in one of my houses
-Raffle for a pet
-Every student gets a small gift in Adopt Me for attending

If time allows in each class students will play games together such as hide and go seek, race around adopt me, and a swimming comp in the river. 

We will be gaming during the class, and trading usernames. If you, or your learner, do not feel comfortable adding friends from class, please follow the directions on the classroom page to add me as a friend. Next, send me a private message on here letting me know the username. Adding me will get the learner connected to our club server, and without having to share the username. 

Come make new friends, and new trades! We can talk about if we like to play as a baby or adult, favorite pets, favorite houses, favorite cars, and more! You may even win adopt me items on a weekly giveaway!!

So come have fun and let's enjoy some camp social time! 


*Due to a limited number of friend spaces in Roblox, students will be from the teachers friend list once the camp class is over.

Hello! I am Melissa. I teach 7th grade science. This is my 8th year teaching. I have a Bachelors in Education and a Masters in Biology. I am married with two daughters, 12 and 14, three dogs, and one cat. I guess you can say I love animals! I believe that everyone can learn, but we all learn differently. In my classroom, I will present the material in many different ways so that everyone learns. I also believe that learning is more long term when it is enjoyable. So, get ready to have some FUN! I want to build confidence in your learner through fun science, teaching video making, and gaming classes. I have loved science since I was a little girl, and I can't wait to share that passion with your learner. 

When I am working with students, I encourage them to create a sense of community in our classes. They can chat with each other, and may play games together. 

I encourage students to answer questions, and gain confidence in a virtual classroom I will use a variety of questions, at different levels, to assess learning during the class.

Melissa Kennedy's Virtual Class Policies: 

1) I aim to keep classes close to the scheduled amount of time, however, classes with low enrollments or low student participation may run a few minutes under or a few minutes over. 

3) Classes will begin on time, even if all learners are not in the classroom (unless there appears to be a technical issue). I will not contact absent learners during class time so I can focus on the learners who are present. 

4) If no learners are in the classroom, I will wait 10 minutes before exiting the classroom. 

5) Always feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I can't wait to meet your learner!
