This is a one-time discussion-based class. In class we will learn about making a list, planning ahead for long term activities and projects, getting small amounts done daily instead of saving all our work until the last minute, the impact that our forgetfulness may have on others and motivating ourselves to do tough stuff we don't feel like doing. Students will leave the class with some new techniques to try to improve their study skills and organization. They will understand the importance of starting early in order to meet deadlines and breaking down a project into smaller, more manageable steps.
Bridget Smith is a person with ADHD, the mom of kids with ADHD and other learning challenges, and a credentialed teacher with a Master's Degree in Teaching from the University of California Santa Cruz. She specializes in working with kids and teens with executive function challenges and learning differences and has taught over 5000 students on Outschool.

Class supports executive function development in neurodivergent learners including autistic learners as well as those with ADHD and anxiety. Templates are shared in PDF and Google Doc form to support learners with dyslexia and dysgraphia.
