This class will teach students how to solve two-step word problems using different strategies. We will work through multiple problems together and go over the different vocabulary that will help your learner in solving these problems independently in the future. The learners will get to interact more as the class goes on as they will begin solving the word problems together. We will also review word problems that have errors, so we can identify what was done wrong and learn how to avoid those mistakes in the future.

I will provide a hand-out of the word problems for you to print out and have in class. A pencil and notebook paper would also be helpful.

Hello, my name is Seana Mohr!
I am a certified K-6 teacher and am passionate about teaching reading, writing, and math to students in Pre-K through third grade. I believe that learning should be fun and try my best to keep lessons engaging and interesting. I have been working with children for 15 years and have done everything under the sun. Most recently, I have spent time as a kindergarten and third-grade teacher, math and reading tutor, and ESL teacher. I know that every student is unique and with the right tools and strategies they can reach their full potential.
