This class offers a challenging and enriching curriculum for teens committed to honing their craft at a higher level. This eight-week course is meticulously designed to push the boundaries of students' acting abilities, encouraging them to explore the depths of character creation, text interpretation, and emotional expression.

The journey begins with a deep dive into the theories and practices of distinguished acting practitioners, laying a solid foundation for advanced study. As the course progresses, students will tackle the complex concept of 'Public Privacy', learn to navigate the intricacies of given circumstances, and engage in character-driven improvisations that demand quick thinking and deep emotional connection.

Monologue work is a key component of the course, with an emphasis on selecting challenging pieces, conducting thorough research, and employing detailed scoring techniques to uncover the layers of the text and character. In addition to solo work, students will engage in intensive scene study, exploring the dynamics of relationships, the physical and vocal embodiment of characters, and the art of making bold, authentic choices on stage.

Physical and vocal training sessions are integrated to ensure that students have the tools to bring their characters to life with full-body commitment and clear, expressive communication. The course culminates in a final scene performance that showcases the students' advanced skills, collaborative spirit, and dedication to the craft of acting. ASPACIA LINDSTROM:
My professional career has been enriched by studying contemporary and modern dance. In college, I was a member of the state theatre forensics team. This diverse experience provided the basis of my teaching style, which combines stage acting, improvisation, and original composition competition. Having developed successful afterschool programs in Polk, Lake, and Osceola counties for more than a decade, I am passionate about preserving the arts in schools. In Clermont, FL, I led the theater department at Astatula Elementary School, as well as, Florida Jr and Florida Thespians, theatre, and musical theatre at East Ridge Middle School. In addition to serving as Co-Chair for District 9 Junior Thespians, I founded Shut The Door Productions, LLC, which provides two-week summer drama camps in Florida. My passion for theatre and dance led me to graduate from the University of Houston with my MA in Theatre and Dance. I am looking forward to joining the Ferrell Studios family.

LUKE HARDT:
Luke, a lifelong theater artist, has decades of experience directing, designing and writing plays for all age levels. As an actor, he has numerous film and stage credits. Luke loves to teach and learn through all things theater and is delighted to engage on almost any creative topic. He holds an M.F.A in Acting from Temple University and has served as Director of Theatre for the University of Montevallo and Bethany College. During his time at the Performing Arts Magnet High School (CCPAC), in Montgomery, his students earned statewide recognition, succeeded in earning significant scholarships, got offers from numerous training programs and for many, went on to successful professional careers. His own career includes directing over 85 plays representing a broad range of genres, age groups, audiences and venues. Luke’s approach to teaching is collaborative, eclectic, physical, and informed by years of study and practice. He is looking forward to sharing his expertise in Acting, Audition Prep, Playwriting, History and Appreciation, and more with the next generation of theatre people through Ferrell Studios/Outschool.
