This course is designed for students whether homeschool, public school, or private school who want to have an academic advantage when it comes to taking the ACT In this 12 session course students will learn general as well as specialized strategies for taking the ACT. Portions of past ACT Exams will be given for timed practice and review. Students will learn in a hands on, engaging and interactive online forum. Here is a breakdown of the sessions students will engage in: -Session 1: Introduction to test-taking strategies -Session 2: Strategies for taking the English portion of the test. -Session 3: Tackle questions from the English portion of the test. -Session 4: Strategies for taking the Math portion of the test. -Sessions 5 - 8: Tackle questions from the Math portion of the test (4 sessions) -Session 9: Strategies for taking the Reading portion of the test. -Session 10: Tackle questions from the Reading portion of the test. -Session 11: Strategies for taking the Science Reasoning portion of the test. -Session 12: Tackle questions from the Science Reasoning portion of the test. Students are encouraged to purchase ACT Prep Plus 2023 Includes 5 Full Length Practice Tests online at https://amzn.to/3Bm6AsA One practice ACT exam will be provided by the teacher. Students will need a notebook, pencil, digital watch, scientific or graphing (preferred) calculator - suggested calculators include Texas Instruments TI 30 x2S (Scientific) or TI-84, TI- 83, TI-86 (Graphing).
