A Moment in Time - Women in History. Join us each week as we learn about different women in history, the details of their experiences, and the impact they left on the world. Learners will have time to discuss each week's woman in history, answer trivia, ask questions and share their own knowledge of the person. Weekly activities may include puzzles, trivia, a quiz, or a game that the teacher has created to help learners retain the information they have learned. Weekly Topics - July 21st - Julia Child July 28th - Jane Goodall August 4th - Joan of Arc August 11th - Rosa Parks August 18th - Patsy Mink August 25th - Henrietta Lacks Grace Hopper Clara Barton Gladys Bentley Anna Jarvis Bessie Coleman Josephine Cochrane Marie Curie Madam C.J. Walker Open discussion during class time may include topics such as racism, discrimination, violence and sexism. All topics during open discussion will be age appropriate and related to the weekly women in history subject. This class is inclusive and everyone is welcome. Learners will need to check in on camera at the start of every class per the Outschool policy.
