週あたり 1-2 時間. Homework is usually assigned every day. In the past, many parents shared that they would like their learners to continue to be busy with schoolwork throughout the day. All assigned homework will be checked in class during that subjects time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- How can homework be uploaded in the classroom? Students can use a cell phone/iPad or smart device to take a picture of their work and upload it in the student section. Students are more than welcome to screenshot their assignments and upload them in the class. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note that sometimes homework is assigned on a digital platform such as NearPod, Quizzzes, ReadWorks, and Zearn.

Classes will be held Monday-Friday each week! Please note that we do not meet on Wednesdays! Wednesday's are used as our flex class set up; there will be pre-recorded videos uploaded in the classroom along with assignments for learners to complete.

In this class, students will receive all the necessary tools to succeed in fourth grade. This class will cover everything in fourth grade, such as Math, Reading, Science, and Social Studies. I aim to ensure that learning is fun and successful for every learner enrolled. We will have to learn their music, dancing, and chanting.

Welcome to a dynamic and engaging 4th-grade homeschool program designed to nurture curious minds and foster a love for learning. This class is a comprehensive exploration of Math, Science, Reading, Writing, and Social Studies, carefully crafted to provide a well-rounded educational experience for homeschool learners.

Class Structure:

Schedule: Classes will be held four days a week, Monday through Friday (no live meeting on Wednesdays), with flexible hours to accommodate homeschool schedules.
Duration: A 20-week curriculum divided into thematic units and projects, ensuring a well-paced and immersive learning experience.
Curriculum Highlights:

Mathematics:
Engage in hands-on activities exploring various mathematical concepts, including place value, multiplication, division, fractions, geometry, and problem-solving. Emphasis will be placed on real-world applications and critical thinking.

Science Adventures:
Embark on captivating scientific journeys covering Earth Science, Life Science, and Physical Science. Dive into topics such as weather and climate, ecosystems and habitats, matter and energy, conducting experiments, and fostering scientific inquiry.

Literary Explorations:
Immerse yourself in the world of literature through diverse genres, comprehension strategies, and creative writing. Explore fiction and non-fiction texts, strengthen reading fluency, develop vocabulary, and hone writing skills through narrative, persuasive, and expository writing.

Social Studies Expeditions:
Travel through history, geography, and civics, uncovering the rich tapestry of the past and present. Learn about early civilizations, U.S. history, geography, government structures, and cultivate a deeper understanding of our global community.

Project-Based Learning (PBL):
Experience hands-on, inquiry-based projects integrated into each subject area. PBL projects will provide opportunities for creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. Projects will range from creating math games, conducting science experiments, writing narratives, presenting historical timelines, and more.

Learning Approach:
Interactive Lessons: Engaging live sessions, interactive discussions, and multimedia resources.
Individualized Attention: Tailored instruction and feedback to meet each student's learning needs.
Parental Involvement: Regular updates and resources provided to parents to support learning at home.
Student Engagement: Encouraging active participation, fostering curiosity, and promoting independent thinking.

Class Materials:
A comprehensive list of required materials will be provided at the beginning of the course.
Access to online resources, educational platforms, and suggested supplementary materials to enrich learning.

Assessment and Feedback:
Regular assessments, quizzes, projects, and ongoing feedback to track progress and ensure comprehension and skill mastery.


In this class, students can access interactive learning websites such as Lilio, Epic!, Zearn, NearPod, etc. Your student will receive a password and username once they have registered for the class. Teachers will assign an assignment to your learner throughout the week on the website.

Science:
Topic: Earth Science - Weather and Climate
PBL Project: Create a Weather Forecast Presentation for a Chosen City.
Reading:
Topic: Fiction Genres and Story Elements
PBL Project: Write and Illustrate a Fictional Storybook.
Writing:
Topic: Narrative Writing and Storytelling
PBL Project: Create a Personal Narrative Podcast.
Social Studies:
Topic: Geography and Maps
PBL Project: Design and Present a Map of a Fictional Place or Ancient Civilization.

Week 5-8: January 29 - February 25
Math:
Topic: Multiplication and Division
PBL Project: Design a Multiplication and Division Board Game.
Science:
Topic: Life Science - Ecosystems and Habitats
PBL Project: Construct a Diorama of an Ecosystem with an Animal Adaptation Report.
Reading:
Topic: Non-fiction Texts and Text Features
PBL Project: Create an Informational Brochure about an Animal or Historical Figure.
Writing:
Topic: Expository Writing and Research Skills
PBL Project: Research and Write an Expository Essay on a Chosen Topic.
Social Studies:
Topic: U.S. History - Colonial America
PBL Project: Present a Virtual Museum Exhibit about Colonial Life.
