Welcome to my 4 Day Summer Boot Camp "All About Dinosaurs" Here we spend 4 consecutive days revealing the secrets of Dinosaurs. From what they evolved from all the way to their last hour before the asteroid struck that caused a 75% extinction. We study how fossils are made in sedimentary rocks and how this gives us a window into the the lives and habits of dinosaurs. We look at palaeontological techniques used at famous dinosaur fossil sites and explore the most famous dinosaur finds. Classes will be in a lecture style using multi-media PowerPoint slides with opportunities for questions. We will cover the following topics: 1) Sedimentary rocks and fossils. 2) Evolution of dinosaurs. 3) Dinosaur extinctions: volcano or asteroid? 4) The last hour of the dinosaurs. Please contact me if you have any further questions or need any other information. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ CLASS STYLE ▬▬▬▬▬ I will introduce each topic in a Lecture style format using PowerPoint and images and videos where appropriate. There is the opportunity for students to ask questions balanced with other students who want to listen to the whole class. I use PowerPoint presentations for all my classes, so I can mix text and multimedia (photos & videos) which I think makes the class more accessible and interesting. I use educational videos regularly in my classes where this improves the quality of the teaching. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ COMMUNICATIONS ▬▬▬▬▬ Please contact me to arrange either one-off or ongoing bespoke 1-to1 tuition sessions. I generally reply within a few hours during term time weekdays. I try and reply within one working day. Please bear in mind I am on UK time, so at least 5 to 8 hours ahead of the USA. If you try my class and it is not quite right, then I don't want anyone to leave unhappy, please contact me and I can help. Just contact me if you have any further questions, I am happy to help and offer full refunds if necessary. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ CLASS RULES ▬▬▬▬▬ Please remember these simple rules so that everyone can enjoy the class. 1. Please use the hands-up emoji to ask a question, especially if you have your camera off, and then wait for your name to be called before asking your question 2. Try to only ask really really important questions – maybe limit yourself to 3 questions per class. You may not be allowed to ask more than 3 questions 3. All students must be on mute all the time unless you are asking a question – to avoid background noise, distractions and interruptions 4. ChatBox is ONLY for asking questions about the class and please only ask questions relevant to the class topic 5. No adults in class. Please make sure you are not in view of the camera. 6. If you are moving around or playing with the screen a lot, I may turn off your video because it is distracting for me 7. If a student does not follow the rules I may have to put you in the waiting room or ask you to leave the class – you will get a full refund Just contact me if you have any further questions, I am happy to help and offer full refunds if necessary.

Some classes talks about Global Warming and Climate Change causing more frequent natural disasters. It also talks about mass extinctions including the possibility of humans causing one now (including ourselves) and has some drawn images of animals dying to become fossils.
We also talk about Natural Disasters like from Volcanoes, Tidal Waves and Earthquakes, where we look a collapsed or destroyed or flooded buildings in places near where you might live. It is delivered in a upbeat manner with positive solutions (eg: switching to renewable energy), but the more sensitive students may find these topics distressing.
This class is taught from a mainstream scientific view point and teachers evolution and the Big Bang.
