3年生の数学！

Need help with 3rd grade math? Basing sessions off of the Common Core in your state, we will start where your student is. We will back up if there are holes in their learning. With this being such a small class, I am able to cater to your students needs. We go at a speed that is comfortable for them. If they master something quickly, we will move along quickly! If they need extra help on certain standards, we will spend as much time as we need to to help them feel confident. As I mentioned, I go off of the Common Core. Each state is a little different so I base it off of where you live. 

If you student is ready, we will move onto the next years standards. I want to challenge them without them getting frustrated. As mentioned, if they are struggling we will go back to similar standards from the previous grade. The standards usually build on themselves with each year getting a little harder. 

I taught 4th grade for 3 years so I know the skills students need to master  in 3rd grade to be successful! 

Students will interact with me each class the entire class. They will have a chance to write on the board to show me their  work. I like to have them do this so that I can see their thinking. This helps me better help them.

Week 1: Perimeter and Area
Week 2: Perimeter and Area
Week 3: Parallel Sides
Week 4: Identify Rectangles
Week 5: Identify Parallelograms
Week 6: Identify Rhombuses
Week 7: Identify trapezoids
Week 8: Identify and draw quadrilaterals 
Week 9: Partition shapes into equal parts
Week 10: Review
