📚 2nd Grade Online Class Description

📝 What Will Be Taught?  
This 36-week, 2nd-grade online course provides a well-rounded education in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, using interactive lessons, hands-on activities, and engaging discussions. Students will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills while building confidence in their learning.  


📖 What Topics Will Be Covered?  
🔹 Reading & Writing – Phonics, fluency, comprehension, main idea, character analysis, sentence structure, paragraph writing, opinion pieces, and creative storytelling.  
🔹 Math – Place value, addition/subtraction with regrouping, measurement, time, money, fractions, multiplication basics, graphs, and word problems.  
🔹 Science – Life cycles, weather, matter, simple machines, the solar system, animal habitats, and STEM experiments.  
🔹 Social Studies – Geography, historical figures, map skills, communities, economics, and cultural traditions.  
🔹 Creative Learning – Art, music, movement, and hands-on STEM projects.  


⏳ How Is the Class Structured?  
Each class runs 3 hours, 3 days a week and follows a structured schedule:  

1️⃣ Warm-up & Circle Time (20 min) – Songs, calendar review, interactive discussions  
2️⃣ Core Subject Learning (120 min total, rotating focus)  
   - Reading & Writing (40 min)  
   - Math (40 min)  
   - Science/Social Studies (40 min)  
3️⃣ Interactive Review & Hands-on Learning (40 min) – Games, experiments, projects, or movement activities

I use an interactive, multi-sensory approach that makes learning fun and engaging. My lessons include:
