Students will improve phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension with practice and guided instruction.

I am a former school teacher with over 15 years of classroom experience. I have taught in public, private, and public charter schools I have a Bachelor's in Psychology as well as a Master's in Education. I have training in the Science of Reading, Orton Gillingham method, and Wilson Reading System. I tutor students in reading and provided support to struggling students in Title 1 schools.

Students are encouraged to read every night for at least 30 minutes.

Teacher will monitor and keep notation, including running records for fluency. Teacher will provide a written report/update every month.

Teacher will provide a screen share of the reading material. Students will not need to sign up and they will only have access during class time with a teacher-provided link. Google Slides will be available for students for reading passages. Materials are age and grade-appropriate, however, parental guidance is recommended.
