During our one-to-one session, we will focus on a specific area for the learner and/or currently class work. Parent may provide me with the specific area for support through email. Learner may also bring homework. I can provide material to support that skill or we can work on material the learner may already have. I will incorporate teaching strategies I've learned over the years and apply what best supports the learner. A few of the strategies I use are various mnemonic devices, provide steps in different colors, highlight to emphasize major points and repetition of vocabulary, to name a few. All learners learn differently, and sometimes individualized time can make all the difference.
