週あたり 4+ 時間. 🕔 If a student needs to miss a live session or submit homework late due to illness, family matters, or other circumstances, I completely understand. Parents are kindly requested to send a private message at least 2 hours before the session, if possible. Homework will still be posted for the missed day(s). This accelerated semester course requires a substantial amount of homework, with parents actively involved to supporting their teen’s success. 🎒 Weekly homework includes open-book assignments. Students complete one full chapter per week in both subjects, with 3–7 lessons per chapter. Each lesson review includes a vocabulary review, a skill review, and a skill practice (8–20 questions per lesson). Chapter reviews, projects (slideshow videos), & writing assignments are also assigned. Homework is graded, and parents must assist with scheduling, guidance, and ensuring all tasks are completed weekly.進捗レポート
🗃️ Your teen will have their lesson reviews, chapter reviews, slideshow projects, and writing assignments graded each week for each subject. I send grades for this class every week through private messaging to parents, along with comments, to facilitate parental monitoring of their student's progress. I highly value and appreciate weekly feedback from parents. At the very least, parents should acknowledge the receipt of the grades I send. Parents and students can reach out to me at any time through direct messaging, and I'll respond the same day or, if not, by the next morning, seven days a week, except on holidays.修了証書
🎓 I award 2 full-year credits for English and 2 for Social Studies, with an overall grade for both subjects. Four completion certificates (2 per subject, each for 1 credit) will be sent via private message. This class can count as 4 year-long credits, as it is accelerated and rich in content. Grades are based on: 1. Accuracy of textbook lesson reviews and chapter reviews. 2. Effort & thoroughness in projects and essays. 3. A final open-book exam, worth 25% of the grade, assessing comprehension, analysis, & conclusions. Completion certificates include the student’s first name, “Outschool,” the course name, end date, my name and title, and a final letter grade (A to D-). I do not fail students, as all participants learn something. - A = Excellent - B = Great - C = Satisfactory - D = Needs Improvement 📁 Parents must save the PDFs of textbooks, graded work, projects & writing assignemnts to a Flash or Zip drive since the edcuator does not maintain a portfolio.この文章は自動翻訳されています

🤠 Howdy and welcome to an extraordinary homeschool experience! This is a one-on-one program designed to give your teen the individualized attention they deserve. Over the course of 12 weeks, we’ll combine 9th and 10th-grade English and Social Studies into an engaging and dynamic curriculum that meets twice a week. I’m so excited to welcome you and your teen to a personalized class designed to make high school homeschooling a rewarding and enjoyable journey! 🎉 🛑 This program is exclusively for homeschooled teens in the USA and is offered by request only. Do not enroll your teen just yet! Please take time to carefully review all of the details within this class listing and watch the course video. Then send me a private message with any questions or if you'd like to enroll your teen, and I’ll respond within 36 hours with an important questionnaire for you to answer and send back to me. ✨ This course runs just twice a year—once in the fall and once in the spring—with only one student per session. This exclusivity ensures your teen receives my full focus and tailored instruction. Because homeschooling regulations and laws vary by state, please check your state’s home education and high school credit requirements to ensure this class meets your needs. Teens must be prepared for a lot of independent homework since this is a homeschool program, with parental support mandatory to keep them on track. 📅 This semester’s schedule includes live sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm Eastern Time. The second semester, covering Math and Science, meets on Mondays and Tuesdays from 2:30 pm to 3:15 pm Eastern Time, with an adjustment starting January 2026 to 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm Eastern Time. Due to my full teaching schedule, I cannot accommodate alternate times, and I appreciate your understanding. ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ 🎒 At Outschool, I aim to reimagine traditional schooling! This program is designed to adapt to your teen’s strengths and needs, offering flexible, differentiated instruction and assessments. My teaching style is warm, supportive, and enthusiastic, ensuring that every student feels confident and motivated to succeed. This program is perfect for families navigating the complexities of homeschooling high school. If you’ve ever wondered how to handle challenging subjects like government, literature, advanced writing, math, or science, this class will guide you. The curriculum lays a strong academic foundation, ensuring your teen is equipped for success in high school and beyond. I take a mastery-based approach to learning, focusing on knowledge rather than time spent in class. This flexibility allows students to accelerate their progress. Be sure to review your state’s requirements to ensure compliance with homeschool education criteria. 📚 This semester includes two credits each for English I & II and Social Studies I & II, totaling four credits. In the second semester, students will focus on Math and Science for another four credits, completing the academic year with eight full credits. The program continues into 11th and 12th grades, covering higher-level subjects in English, Social Studies, Math, and Science. 📖 Your teen will receive free PDF copies of two textbooks—one for English and one for Social Studies—designed to distill key topics into manageable chapters. This streamlined approach ensures that students focus on the most important material while building confidence and mastery. See the Syllabus section for details about the textbook lessons for both subjects. We meet for English on Mondays and Social Studies on Tuesdays. ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ 👋 Our first live meeting session is an opportunity for me to get to know your teen. During this meeting, we’ll discuss their interests, goals, and current skills. I’ll also administer a pre-test for both subjects to determine their starting point and somewhat customize the curriculum to their needs. We’ll go over the course structure, including weekly assignments, projects, and expectations, to ensure your teen feels prepared and confident. I will then assign the first chapter for both subjects to be completed, with parental help and support, by the next live meeting one week later. 🕒 Our weekly live sessions meet twice a week for 45 minutes. Between sessions, students work on assignments that include 1 full chapter in each subject every week. Each chapter has 3 to 8 lesson reviews, and 1 chapter review, and sometimes will include a creative project such as video slideshows and/or writing assignments. All work is graded in the following live meeting where we'll verbally go over their textbook answers and discuss the material along with questions and answers. I will then introduce the next week's lesson and answer any questions. Parents must also help their students with homework assigned by me. 🏁 If your student must be absent for a live meeting, the lesson and the homework within it will still unlock and post 1 hour after the original start time of the live meeting. Your teen is expected to read the lesson and complete the homework by the next live meeting. Two extra live meetings have already been built into the schedule. This is to go over their Final Exams and give final grades at the end of the semester. These meetings also serve as make-up days in the unlikely event that the educator must be absent in which case the weekly lesson will still unlock like normal and your teen is still expected to read the lesson and complete the homework by the next live meeting. 📥 Throughout the course, I am available via direct messaging to answer questions, offer guidance, and provide encouragement. I typically respond within a day, ensuring that both students and parents feel supported every step of the way. ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ 📚 Tuition includes all live sessions, weekly assignments, creative projects, and my time for lesson planning, grading, and providing feedback. My “flipped classroom” approach ensures that students actively engage with the weekly lessons and material and complete all of the assignments independently, along with the help and support of the parent, before the next live meeting where we will verbally go over their answers and exploring discoveries and questions in live sessions. This program includes a 🍂 Fall Break (the fourth full week of November during Thanksgiving) and a 🌷 Spring Break in the first full week of March. These breaks are built into the schedule, with no charges applied during these weeks. This course is best suited for motivated, independent learners with strong time-management skills. Parental support and help is absolutely 100% required. Parents will need to assist their teens in creating a free account for Canva, guiding them in creating slideshow videos, and showing them how to save their videos as .MP4 files for submission. Additionally, parents are encouraged to help their teens stay on track with assignments and projects and digitally save their teen's writing assignments and slideshow videos to a flash drive to preserve their homeschool portfolio. 🌟 Due to the one-on-one nature of this program, it fills up quickly. If the current session is full, please contact me to reserve a spot in the next semester. I’m here to support your teen’s educational journey and help them build the skills and confidence they need for high school and beyond. Please continue to read ALL of the sections of this class listing for very important details and further information! 🎉 Let’s make learning an adventure together! I can’t wait to meet your teen and help them succeed. 🚀

🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE:
You may need to have a certified teacher, or another official, in your state review your student's portfolio, including written textbook materials in Word documents, video projects from the Outschool classroom, saved assignments on your student's computer, and saved PDFs of the textbooks, along with the certificate of completion and letter grade I provide. This is to help comply with your state's home education laws if you are homeschooling. To safeguard these materials, I HIGHLY recommend that your teen saves EVERYTHING to a flash or zip drive instead of their computer because, once the class ends, I won’t have anything to send you as I do not keep records. The parent is fully and totally responsible for keeping records of their learner's hours, homework, syllabus, and etc. as we go through the program
Please carefully review your state's home education laws and requirements before enrolling your teen learner. While I teach these classes in accordance with Florida's home education laws, and all of my past students have successfully graduated, neither I nor Outschool can be held responsible for maintaining your teen’s home education portfolio or grades. We cannot review transcripts or perform portfolio evaluations for homeschooling, nor can we guarantee that this class will satisfy your state’s home education laws, your charter school’s policies, or count for high school credit. Please check your state’s and/or charter school’s requirements. Remember, you are solely responsible for homeschooling your teen under your state’s laws. I am here to help educate your teen learner, but parental involvement is absolutely necessary. 😊
💰 NOTE ABOUT TUITION:
This class's tuition structure may seem a bit confusing. The total weekly tuition covers not only the two 45-minute weekly live video meetings but also the weekly assignments, projects, and quizzes completed by your student. It also accounts for my weekly lesson planning, grading of homework, research, participating in the weekly assignments, projects, and quizzes by providing feedback, additional content, guidance, and deeper questions, responding to both student and parent private messages within 36 hours, and offering private guidance and help for your student. I am personally present in the classroom, working to support your student and answering private messages seven days a week throughout the duration of the class.
Essentially, the weekly charge is $90, which includes the two live meetings and all the work that goes on behind the scenes. Outschool also deducts 30% of the total tuition for its expenses. I'm sorry, but I do not permit requests for a transfer to another date or time for this class.
📅 ATTENDANCE POLICY:
Per Outschool's attendance policy, if your learner misses a class meeting, you are not entitled to a refund. If your learner misses three consecutive live class meetings without communicating with me, the class fee will be forfeited, and I may cancel the class or withdraw your learner.
💸 REFUND POLICY
Refunds are available within 24 hours of payment and until your next meeting or lesson access begins. This means you will not receive a refund 24 hours after your purchase, regardless of when the first live meeting begins. Transfer requests to another class are also unavailable.
Parents will need to assist their students in creating a free Canva account, reviewing how to create slideshow videos, and showing them how to save these as a .MP4 files for various projects to attach in the classroom. Parents must also help their students with homework assigned by me.
Thank you for your understanding and support! 🌟
🚸 FROM OUTSCHOOL...
We stand with learners. We are all learners.
At Outschool, we commit to standing with all learners by fostering a diverse and multicultural community, where differences are honored, welcomed, and accepted. With education as the catalyst and technology as the tool, we are uniquely positioned to connect learners to experiences that broaden their understanding of themselves and the world around them through our collective love for learning.
At Outschool, we strive to be OUTstanding by fostering a global online community, elevating unique voices, and transforming the way we work and learn.
At Outschool, we are all learners. We are curious and continuously interrogate the inequities created by systemic oppression on education and learning. We have the opportunity to evolve education by creating a marketplace that reflects and respects the lived experiences of historically ignored communities.
This work is never done. To ensure equity across multiple lines of difference and experiences, we maintain a bias toward transformative action.
Here’s what action looks like for Outschool.
Diversity
We intentionally include fair representation of different social identities–including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, social class, physical ability or attributes, and learning needs.
Equity
We implement processes to ensure inclusion and procedures to eliminate barriers or imbalances that keep community members from having equal opportunities.
Inclusion
Outschool cultivates an environment where all individuals feel welcomed, supported, and valued.
Belonging
We create a sense of connection through meaningful experiences by connecting people, ideas, and resources.
While our open community is our greatest source of strength, it also brings challenges. It is important to us that Outschool is a safe space for our users. Our members should treat each other without bias or prejudice across all pillars of diversity, including race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion, and gender identity. Please find below Outschool's Parent and Learner guidelines that we ask our members to observe. Outschool members who do not meet these guidelines may be removed from the site.
🧑 PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT:
1. Ensure that learners only attend class under their own enrollment, using their own identity, and refrain from using their sibling’s or another learner’s enrollment to attend class.
2. Provide all required details and fill out the learner's profile with accurate information. This may include age, gender preference, and any notes that the educator may need to know about your learner.
3. Ensure learners attend their classes and promptly notify the educator if they must miss a live meeting.
4. Offer constructive feedback about your class experience, for the benefit of the teacher and other parents, in both reviews and private messages.
5. Engage in civil conversation, respecting different opinions, and communicate through Outschool.
6. Keep personal information private and never share personal information such as email addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, gamer tags, social media, etc.
🎒 LEARNER CODE OF CONDUCT:
1. Join classes on time and be prepared for learning.
2. Be kind, respectful, safe, and engage in a respectful manner in all class interactions. Dress appropriately and maintain good behavior during class meetings.
3. Keep personal information private and avoid asking other learners for their personal information.
4. Engage, participate, and take responsibility for creating a great learning experience for yourself and your classmates.
🏫 OUTSCHOOL CODE OF CONDUCT:
1. Outschool aims to be a safe space for members from diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and locations.
2. We value feedback from parents, teachers, and learners and will make changes based on that feedback.
3. We create and enforce policies to ensure a high-quality, trusted, and safe community for learning.
4. We respond promptly to questions and issues that arise.
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PARENTS:
1. Outschool's Refund Policy: "Refund within 24 hours of payment until your next meeting or lesson access begins". This means that you will NOT receive a refund if you withdraw or request to withdraw your teen student for any reason 24 hours after you've enrolled them & made payment. There are no transfers to another class time or another class.
2. Outschool's Attendance Policy: If your learner misses a live class meeting, you are not entitled to a refund. If your learner misses 3 consecutive live class meetings without communicating with the teacher, you forfeit the class fee, and the teacher may cancel the class or withdraw your learner.
3. I value your feedback and suggestions. I'm open to making modifications during the course to better meet your teen's needs. Reach out to me through private direct messaging on Outschool to have a constructive conversation about any comments, concerns, or suggestions you may have. Communication between the teacher and the parent is key!
4. Please be aware that if there are no students after the first 10 minutes of the live online class, that day's class will be canceled. Our live meetings are scheduled for 45 minutes, but the duration may vary. Your teen's engagement is key!
受講に必要なもの
Students will need all of the following supplies before the first live meeting: 1.) A free PDF of all three of the ABE/GED textbooks will be available to you. They will be posted to the Outschool classroom, along with important announcements and further information, 1 day prior to the first live meeting. If you wish to search online and order a hard copy of the textbook (which I highly recommend) here is the information so that you may order yours: ABE/GED Textbook 1: "Common Core Basics Writing Core Subject Module" by McGraw-Hill ISBN-13: 9780076575220 ABE/GED Textbook 2: "Common Core Basics Reading Core Subject Module" by McGraw-Hill ISBN-13: 9780076575206 ABE/GED Textbook 3: "Common Core Basics Social Studies Core Subject Module" by McGraw-Hill ISBN 13: 9780076575213 The textbooks are a foundation of our studies, not all of the common core elements are used. 2.) Students will need to have and know how to use a document program. Students will sometimes be submitting short essays or answers on a document in some questions, projects, or quizzes, and attach them as a file. Documents will need to end in a .doc, .docx, or .pdf format. Parents may need to help students learn how to save a document in these formats. Links to Google Slides, docs, or any other online work document programs are not allowed. Free downloadable document programs are available such as Open Office, WPS, Ultra Office, Libre, Neat Note, and more by doing a search on Google or Bing. 3.) Create a free Canva account to make slideshow videos (.mp4), download them to their computer, and then upload them to the classroom as an attachment. Parents may need to assist their students in creating an account for Canva and review the different ways to create slideshow videos. This is a creative way for students to give their answers to homework and allows for their self-expression instead of just typing out answers. Here is the link for a free Canva account: https://www.canva.com/. It is important that the student become familiar with these materials before class begins, please.

I hold dual Bachelor's degrees in Social Sciences with a focus on Education and Criminal Justice, complemented by a Master's degree in Education with an emphasis on Curriculum Specialization, as well as a Doctorate in Philosophy.
With over 11 years of teaching experience, I have effectively instructed high school students from grades 9 to 12, fostering their academic growth in an online setting through platforms such as Skype and asynchronous messaging on discussion boards. I have provided comprehensive education covering subjects such as English, Language Arts, Writing, Sciences, Social Studies, Mathematics, and various elective courses. During this time, my students consistently achieved above-average grades and developed a genuine enthusiasm for learning. Importantly, all of my students have successfully met the educational requirements outlined in their respective states, enabling them to advance to college. My passion lies in guiding students to achieve their full potential, encouraging them to delve deep into subjects and think critically, thereby setting them on a path towards successful adulthood.
My teaching methodology encompasses a spectrum of educational theories, including constructivism, humanism, realism, and idealism. Moreover, I integrate brain-based learning techniques, ensuring that my pedagogical approach is grounded in evidence-based practices. This innovative teaching style has been rigorously researched, supported by statistical data, and proven effective not only in traditional brick-and-mortar schools but also in the context of virtual education. This progressive teaching philosophy is rooted in my academic training, acquired during my master's and doctoral programs in higher education.
I believe in customizing instruction to suit each student's unique abilities and requirements. My approach is characterized by kindness, adaptability, friendliness, compassion, understanding, and flexibility. I employ the "flipped classroom" model, in which students engage with assignments before the live sessions. In these live meetings, students transition into the role of teachers, sharing their new discoveries, intriguing findings, and significant insights. I actively participate in these discussions, supplementing their contributions with additional valuable information. This collective learning experience aligns with the principles of the "open classroom" model, in which we collaboratively pursue the shared goal of learning and enjoying the educational process. Together, we analyze and draw conclusions from the assignments and prepare for the upcoming week, including guidance and assignments to be completed in the form of the next chapter in each subject.
As contemporary educators, we recognize the limitations of lengthy lectures in live meetings, a more traditional approach to teaching. Instead, we engage with our students through dialogues and interactive discussions. This interaction is more effective as students absorb information and feel a greater sense of involvement. We are trained to assume the roles of coaches, guides, and mentors to our students, addressing their individual needs while fostering a sense of community in the class. I often guide our discussions by posing specific questions to students, encouraging them to share their newfound knowledge, and ensuring that the timing of these discussions maximizes their educational impact. The questions I ask are carefully chosen to transform moments into valuable learning opportunities.
The semester's curriculum, encompassing two subjects, is designed to be advanced and accelerated. Students will be required to practice effective time management and maintain a high level of motivation. Beyond conveying subject matter through traditional homework assignments, projects, videos, and live meeting discussions, my educational approach extends to teaching students how to learn. When students pose questions, I may task them with online research to uncover answers. I guide them towards reliable online resources to find solutions. A similar process may be applied when reviewing student homework, where I pose additional questions that require supplemental online research beyond the textbook. Through this pedagogical method, I aim to enhance students' capacity and desire to learn, equipping them with essential skills for lifelong learning. My goal is to empower them to take control of their education, a significant and valuable skill if leveraged correctly.
