This on-demand tutoring session is designed to help high school students craft engaging, meaningful, and authentic essays to increase their chances of winning that scholarship or gaining admission into the school of their dreams! 

Examples of topics I cover to help learners meet their academic goals--

• Elements of an essay (hook, thesis, body paragraphs, transitions, conclusion)
• Choosing a meaningful essay topic 
• Writing a personal statement 
• Brainstorming specific details and examples 
• Illustrating the student's potential by outlining achievements
• Finding a monumental life moment and reflecting on it (quality over quantity)
• What to avoid in a personal essay 
• Editing and proofreading 

Note that this is not a complete list, and the specific topics covered during each session will vary depending on the learner's academic goals and personal strengths and weaknesses. 

Helping students succeed is something that I am quite passionate about! I have taught for ten years in the high school English classroom before moving on to my current role working directly with college students. I am looking forward to working with your learner!
