This class is part of a series of classes meant to provide opportunities for learners to review and practice math concepts involving decimals typically taught in 5th and 6th grade math. Below is a list of concepts that could be covered during this class as time and rate of learning allow. Learners may also bring homework or class assignments involving fractions to the class meeting for assistance. •Place Value in Decimals •Rounding Decimals, Comparing Decimals, and Sequencing Decimals •Converting Between Decimals and Fractions •Adding and Subtracting Decimals •Multiplying Decimals •Dividing Decimals by Whole Numbers •Dividing Decimals by Decimals •Operations (add, subtract, multiply and divide) with Decimals Please schedule sessions carefully, as missed classes will not be rescheduled or refunded. Hello! I have been teaching and working in the public school setting for the past nineteen years, and tutoring privately for the past ten years. I have worked with students ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade in math, reading, writing mechanics, American History, and beginning Spanish. I especially enjoy working with students in small groups or individually, and developed skills as an online educator when schools had to close for the pandemic.
