Young Writers From Around the World
Group experience
US Grade 5 - 8
In this group there will be a writing prompt or challenge every week. The students write their stories, poems, or reflections and post in the group. The other students can then give feedback and get a chance to read other young writers’ work. The students may also post other work for peer feedback and ask questions.
This class is taught in English.
To become a stronger writer and get used to receiving feedback on their work.
I am a published and award winning writer who loves to share my passion for writing. I teach a lot of creative writing on Outschool and I am hoping this groups will give young writers a chance to connect.
This is a creative writing group, and the students will never be asked to write about any personal issues or their own experiences or life situations. But every student brings their writing voices and styles to the class and might choose to write about more complex subject matters, including death, bullying, racism, anxiety from a creative perspective. I do not intend to censor the students but will keep my eyes open for offensive language.
