Weekly Writers Writing Group

This class is taught in English.

Students will practice their creative writing skills by responding to prompts about a variety of topics. 

Students will practice writing for different purposes (to persuade, to inform, to entertain, to describe) while producing a variety of products (short stories, informational writing, writing a letter, etc.)

Students will practice their communication and evaluation skills when providing positive feedback to their peers. 

Education-
Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education
Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction

Certification-
Elementary School, Spanish K-12, ESOL K-12
Experience- 9 years as a public school teacher. Two years virtual teaching experience. Four years as a stay-at-home parent to two young children.

Welcome Wonderful Writers to our Group! We want all of our learners to feel comfortable, connected, and safe. That's why we have 3 rules we ask you to follow: Be Kind, Be Safe, and Be Respectful.

Be Kind - Help all learners feel welcome and included.
This group provides the opportunity to meet learners from all over the world. Each group member will have different backgrounds, experiences, and interests. Always be kind and help others, especially new learners, know that they belong and are welcome here. Teasing, name calling, or bullying anybody in our community are not allowed and will result in removal from the group. 

Be Safe - Keep your personal information private and never ask other learners for theirs.
Personal things are personal. We want to keep you safe on Outschool, but we also want YOU to understand how to be safe when you're meeting other learners or teachers. Keep your full name, home address, gaming or social media name, email, and school name private.

Be Respectful - Treat others how you want to be treated.
All language should be clean, respectful, and appropriate. No violent topics will be discussed.
