Group Experience

This group will serve as a learner led forum that will ultimately lead to long term connection. As the moderator, I plan to facilitate safe, age appropriate, non-therapeutic discussions that will allow each learner and myself to share our memories. I have experienced this loss myself and so I look forward to participating in the learners posts as well as my own. This is a virtual time capsule for us all to share our own and empathize with others! Pets are apart of our family. When they die,...

Learners will post pictures of their pets that they miss, and any information about them. They will encourage other group members by commenting on their posts. The learners will develop a sense of supportive community.

I have 30 plus years in schools working as a school counselor, and some time spent with SPED and ELED. I have a lot of experience with children who have lost pets. I also have lost pets and experienced first hand how hard that can be.
